New, warm light floods forest floor
Melting death which covered before
Slipping down the mountains, slow
Anxious to run, but nowhere to go
The forest rebels- it screams for blood
Whiteness begs for mercy but is withered to mud
Brand new green, free of old pain
It brings quick end to evil winters reign
We run about wild and free
Smiling sun's warm glow fills me
Yet times distant warning drifts through my head
A few short months- all again will be dead
Time fast-forwards when flowers proudly bloom
And sleeps in peace when they kiss their doom.
